Our Story

Sioux Falls Dry Ice Blasting started where you'd expect — in a body shop. At Frankman Auto Body & Kustom Shop, we were doing full restorations. Frame-off builds. Rust repair. Paint work. And every single time, the hardest part wasn't the metalwork or the paint — it was getting decades of grease, grime, undercoating, and carbon buildup off the parts before we could even start.

Traditional methods were slow, messy, and came with tradeoffs. Pressure washing risked water damage. Chemical strippers were toxic and left residue. Wire wheels and sandblasting were abrasive and time-consuming. We needed something better.

Dry ice blasting was the answer. It strips everything — grease, paint, carbon, undercoating, seam sealer — without damaging the surface underneath. No water. No chemicals. No abrasion. We brought it in-house for our own restoration work, and quickly realized the demand went far beyond our body shop.

Classic car collectors wanted their engine bays and undercarriages cleaned without disassembly. Dealerships needed a fast way to prep trade-ins and auction vehicles. Restaurants needed commercial kitchen cleaning without harsh chemicals. Manufacturing facilities needed equipment cleaned without extended shutdowns.

So we built a department around it. Sioux Falls Dry Ice Blasting is a division of Frankman Motor Company, Inc. — same ownership, same facility, same commitment to doing the job right. We just expanded the service to everyone who needs it.
